Moorage eyed on local lakes -- Morning Star.

Is this a case of not enough moorage or too many boats?

Just last Sunday there was this symbolic turning out the lights for an hour to express our desire to reduce energy consumption and reduce greenhouse gases.

As well, the Provincial Government levied a carbon tax on gasoline and oil purportedly the encourage reduction of greenhouse gases.

Has it occurred to anyone that reduction of the number of huge , gas guzzling boats, usually driving around aimlessly, could achieve reduction of greenhouse gases as well as reducing water pollution in our precious lakes? I wonder.

About Me

My photo
I have been a resident of Coldstream since 1976. I have had 15 years of experience on Council, 3 years as Mayor. As a current Councillor I am working to achieve fair water and sewer rates and to ensure that taxpayers get fair treatment. The current direction regarding water supply is unsustainable and I am doing all I can to get the most cost effective water supply possible.
