All Candidate's Forum!
The Coldstream Ratepayers Association wishes to announce its forthcoming All-Candidates Meetings in anticipation of the upcoming municipal election on November 19. These meetings will give the Coldstream public an opportunity to question all candidates for both Mayor and Council positions in Coldstream. The All-Candidates Meetings will be non-partisan and will be moderated to ensure all candidates have a chance to present their views to the public. Questions for the candidates will be encouraged but will be in a written form (on 3x5 cards) in order to prevent speech-making from the audience and give order to the proceedings.
The dates and times are as follows:
1) Thursday, October 27, from 7-9 PM at the Lavington Elementary School.
2) Tuesday, November 1, from 7-9 PM at the Coldstream Elementary School.
3) Monday, November 7, from 7-9:45 PM at the OK College Lecture Theatre (Room D310).
The Coldstream public is invited to attend and "meet and greet" the candidates just prior to the forums themselves at 6:30 PM on the dates specified.

News from Steve Heeren-- So far so good!

Sorry for the delay in letting you all know how I fared with my cardiac surgery. Obviously I survived but it took a lot out of my energy level -- I'm tired most of the time and was finally working up to writing you to spread the word that I made it (I guess!).
This whole experience has led me to wonder if at least some survivors of open-heart surgery don't wind up envying those who didn't survive. Ha ha!
The routine in hospital was the most debilitating for me but as each day has passed since then I am gaining energy (very slowly) and I am looking forward to being fully recovered.

Thank you from Leo!
Thanks so much to the Coldstream Ratepayers Association for the pot luck dinner, kind words and the plaque on my retirement from the Fire Department. It has truly been my pleasure and I would like to thank everyone in the Community for the incredible support shown to the fire department members over the years. Also, a very special thanks to Maria and Greg for having put together a wonderful video presentation on my behalf, (even though I was naked in one of the pics). That meant a great deal to my family and I.
Thanks again,
Leo Lecavalier

About Me
- Coldstreamer
- I have been a resident of Coldstream since 1976. I have had 15 years of experience on Council, 3 years as Mayor. As a current Councillor I am working to achieve fair water and sewer rates and to ensure that taxpayers get fair treatment. The current direction regarding water supply is unsustainable and I am doing all I can to get the most cost effective water supply possible.
