This posting is a eulogy to the Coldstream pond adjacent to Coldstream
Lumber on what was the old sawmill property. This pond has been here as long as
I have [40 years] and is a breeding site and nursery for many bird species. It
is also a resting area for hundreds of ducks in the fall. These photos are a
sample of what the site looks like now and what we have lost. The question is
did the property owners obtain a permit to do this and from whom because they
didn't get one from the District of Coldstream and there definitely wasn't any
public input. View these and weep.

About Me
- Coldstreamer
- I have been a resident of Coldstream since 1976. I have had 15 years of experience on Council, 3 years as Mayor. As a current Councillor I am working to achieve fair water and sewer rates and to ensure that taxpayers get fair treatment. The current direction regarding water supply is unsustainable and I am doing all I can to get the most cost effective water supply possible.
