"Amalgamation: the costly experiment that failed":

Adrian Johnson representing the Greater Vernon Governance Society,
states that we have lived, played, travelled, collected garbage etc separately a century ago.

Respectfully, that is a romantic notion.

Historically Vernon was a hub of trading activity, and services. In fact, the court house was built in Vernon because before Kelowna had a bridge, it was isolated, and not the regional centre it is now. Vernon was the de facto centre.

Save for online shopping, and trips to UBCO, Costco etc, the way we were, is the way we pretty much are:,_British_Columbia

To date, "anonymous" and duplicate voters still propping up numbers on the amalgamation petition.

Expected more diligence from "community leaders" driving the agenda to absorb/nullify my Coldstream.

What would Dr. Margaret Ormbsy say?

About Me

My photo
I have been a resident of Coldstream since 1976. I have had 15 years of experience on Council, 3 years as Mayor. As a current Councillor I am working to achieve fair water and sewer rates and to ensure that taxpayers get fair treatment. The current direction regarding water supply is unsustainable and I am doing all I can to get the most cost effective water supply possible.
