This morn while making a left hand turn from Highway 6 onto Kal. Lake road we noticed several cars stopped and a gathering of people around a vehicle that failed to negotiate the turn across the railroad tracks and ended up several feet off the road in a gully near Meyer's. We stopped and fortunately no one was hurt.

Two weeks ago we were behind a vehicle that failed to negotiate the same turn. They were very lucky: the driver of a fully loaded logging truck in the opposite lane took the turn slowly, and when it became obvious the car was not going to complete the turn, the driver of the truck came to a complete stop to allow the driver of the west-bound car to swerve beside his truck on the passenger side.

I wonder just how many near misses there are in that location?

About Me

My photo
I have been a resident of Coldstream since 1976. I have had 15 years of experience on Council, 3 years as Mayor. As a current Councillor I am working to achieve fair water and sewer rates and to ensure that taxpayers get fair treatment. The current direction regarding water supply is unsustainable and I am doing all I can to get the most cost effective water supply possible.
