Boil water advisory rescinded!

Good Water Returns !

It's finally lifted ! Just before eight last evening RDNO and Interior Health rescinded the boil water notice on the Kal Lake water system.  The notice, in effect since September second, covered 25 thousand addresses in Vernon and Coldstream.  Utilities manager Al Cotsworth says all test results and disinfection levels are satisfactory and the water quality rating is back to "good"
---------------------
What does a Good rating mean?
A good rating means the water is safe to drink with the exception for customers with
immune compromised systems. Persons, who are unsure whether their immune system is compromised, should discuss the need to take precautions with their physician.  Who should take precautions? Customers with immune compromised systems are advised to seek additional protection by boiling their drinking water or using a safe alternative.

About Me

My photo
I have been a resident of Coldstream since 1976. I have had 15 years of experience on Council, 3 years as Mayor. As a current Councillor I am working to achieve fair water and sewer rates and to ensure that taxpayers get fair treatment. The current direction regarding water supply is unsustainable and I am doing all I can to get the most cost effective water supply possible.
