SPrKL News -- Thank you all.

Thank you so much everyone for your generous contributions to the Society for the Protection of Kalamalka Lake! We were overwhelmed with the number and quality of items donated, the willingness of members, friends and neighbours to help out with the sale, and the number of people who attended and paid generously to help support SPrKL’s mission. Please fwd SPrKL’s appreciation to others that you spread the word to, whose emails I do not have.

Thank you also, to Edith Thoreson and the Lavington Community Association for putting SPrKL’s Garage Sale on their map, along with Lavington’s, in their 17th Community-Wide Garage Sale Event.

Special thanks go to Doug, Christine and Jim Cookson, not only for providing the Log House venue and hosting the Garage Sale, but also for doing the lion’s share of the setting-up and organizing, as well as providing lunch for the on-site “worker bees”!
The result of this community effort amounted to $1012.25! This money will go toward purchasing riparian plants for SPrKL’s Earth Day Kalavista Lagoon Restoration And Education Project to take place on Thursday, April 21st at the Lagoon and Log House. (More about the project later) We are hoping for some volunteers to help with digging holes, fencing, and clean-up. If you are interested and willing, to take part, please contact:

About Me

My photo
I have been a resident of Coldstream since 1976. I have had 15 years of experience on Council, 3 years as Mayor. As a current Councillor I am working to achieve fair water and sewer rates and to ensure that taxpayers get fair treatment. The current direction regarding water supply is unsustainable and I am doing all I can to get the most cost effective water supply possible.
