Bishop Wild Bird Sanctuary, Coldstream

Bishop Wild Bird Sanctuary is hosting a Xeriscape Planting and Garden Party event this weekend and you’re invited to attend. Saturday, Apr. 30, 9am to 4pm and Sunday May 1, 11am to 4pm.

It should be enjoyable and informative with numerous Master Gardeners on-site both days to work with and learn from. We will be installing a total of over 1200 individual native plants into the new gardens. The beauty of it, in part, is that all the tough digging has already been done thanks to the many volunteers that made it out the weekend before Easter! Bbq lunch and refreshments will be served so no need to bring anything other than a pair of garden gloves and any small hand tools you might use in your own garden to plant new plants, if you have one. Feel free to invite a friend along and kids of all ages are welcome too!

For more information about the project or to see what Bishop Wild Bird Sanctuary is all about visit our website: www.bishopwildbirdsanctuary.org

I look forward to seeing you at the sanctuary.

Cheers,

Aaron

About Me

My photo
I have been a resident of Coldstream since 1976. I have had 15 years of experience on Council, 3 years as Mayor. As a current Councillor I am working to achieve fair water and sewer rates and to ensure that taxpayers get fair treatment. The current direction regarding water supply is unsustainable and I am doing all I can to get the most cost effective water supply possible.
