About Me
- Coldstreamer
- I have been a resident of Coldstream since 1976. I have had 15 years of experience on Council, 3 years as Mayor. As a current Councillor I am working to achieve fair water and sewer rates and to ensure that taxpayers get fair treatment. The current direction regarding water supply is unsustainable and I am doing all I can to get the most cost effective water supply possible.

A mayoralty candidate that likes to do everything by himself..........what purpose does his council serve? I smell an opportunity to save some tax dollars: we could run the whole show with the mayor and some staff!
I would love to see a candidate running for mayor who celebrated "teamwork" as opposed to " I did it my way"!
For all too many years Coldstream was the perfect Old Boys Club. How soon people forget the uproar over planned intensive development at Coldstream Meadows and the mega Sports Complex which was proposed to be plopped on grade one farm land at Highway 6 and Aberdeen.
I feel fortunate to live in a progressive community as lead by our present Mayor and Council, who are our friends and neighbours, not shadowy corporate entities.
I will never forget that it is this Mayor and Council that did not entertain "Amalgamation". Lesser leaders would have been drawn down a road of no return.
Very pleased our Mayor has decided to run another term. Continuity is important although some change is often good too. On the whole we have a very well run municipality for which we should be grateful. Not everything is wart free, that is just not possible, but council is trying hard IMO.
It seems the disgruntled always want to push through rezoning and ever more development. They will line their pockets then move on to the next and the next. They don't give a rat's a.. for anything else, just the land, not lifestyle or agriculture or the future of those who follow us.
