My thoughts on the spin:

Kidston Path.......can'i be tendered because its design constraints make it as ridiculously overbuilt and costly as Phase One was and there is no grant money around to be exploited. It is a trail along the edge of a farmer's field that ,except for fencing and some crushed base, already exists. If is going to cost us what Phase One did , then lower your standards and do the work in house or don't do it....I'll rather walk on the road than pay a few hundred grand (taxes or debt)) to 3rd parties to build more path than is needed.

Roundabout,,,,,,A dollar spent on a roundabout study at Kidston /Kal is a wasted dollar. As someone who frequently drives here( unlike the majority of Council) my observations are a few seconds of delay travelling at school startup......Coldstream's rush hour! So a consultant will now draw a large circle linking lane ways to the offending roads and we will pay them a few grand, but we have no immediate need, if ever, for the information and it will be out of date anyway should we ever need it.

Meanwhile, the pavement crumbles and drainage issues abound the community.Time for an election.

About Me

My photo
I have been a resident of Coldstream since 1976. I have had 15 years of experience on Council, 3 years as Mayor. As a current Councillor I am working to achieve fair water and sewer rates and to ensure that taxpayers get fair treatment. The current direction regarding water supply is unsustainable and I am doing all I can to get the most cost effective water supply possible.
