“The melting of snow is happening faster than we thought. That is raising the level of turbidity,” said Al Cotsworth, Greater Vernon Services Committee’s water manager.

It's interesting that the snow melted "...faster than we thought." It does not take much imagination to figure out that the snow melts faster when the temperatures rise suddenly. I believe there were news items discussing the potential problems to be expected from rapid snow melt, including possible flooding.

The more important fact is that within the month we have another boil water advisory for our expensive water making it even more expensive for those having to buy bottled water to compensate for the non potable tap water.

However, let's fight over important issues, such as governance and forget the issues at hand!!!

About Me

My photo
I have been a resident of Coldstream since 1976. I have had 15 years of experience on Council, 3 years as Mayor. As a current Councillor I am working to achieve fair water and sewer rates and to ensure that taxpayers get fair treatment. The current direction regarding water supply is unsustainable and I am doing all I can to get the most cost effective water supply possible.
