About Me
- Coldstreamer
- I have been a resident of Coldstream since 1976. I have had 15 years of experience on Council, 3 years as Mayor. As a current Councillor I am working to achieve fair water and sewer rates and to ensure that taxpayers get fair treatment. The current direction regarding water supply is unsustainable and I am doing all I can to get the most cost effective water supply possible.

Re: Pellet Plant
The writer asks" "Where is our voice?" Didn't we just have an election? Apparently the majority of the community wants the pellet plant, or at least sees the issues surrounding air quality as not insurmountable. Why doesn't the writer start a campaign to rid the area of substandard wood stoves and pressure the politicians to address the whole air quality issue? An established baseline could help in understanding what contribution the pellet plant actually makes to the air when it becomes operational.
New Track Cost Overrun;
These overruns are due to poor construction management skills and are not easily excusable. Like the indoor soccer facility, the soon to be completed track facility will probably see taxpayers supporting the ongoing burden of increasing operational costs as youth user support shrinks in this aging community. Hopefully the college can support it.
well think again, the College will not financially support the track facility, they just make use of it and the tax payers in the Greater Vernon area will have to pay. Get used to it.
