Such beauty!

Wildlife of a more threatening, and some just too friendly are seemingly under threat here...could it be that the big cats and deer are chased out of Kal Park by off leash dogs? This has become such a problem my neighbor refuses to take her on-leash dog into the park. The little thing is no match for a pack of "friendly" dogs.

Also since the building boom in the Cosens Bay colony I have noticed many more predators in the interface. It was my understanding that there are limits on the building that can take place a former enterprising councilor's faux Monaco.

ps re Kal Park

commenters are saying the paw injuries sustained by that unfortunate cougar are from a trap, and the other injuries were sustained while this poor creature was trapped. For shame trappers.

About Me

My photo
I have been a resident of Coldstream since 1976. I have had 15 years of experience on Council, 3 years as Mayor. As a current Councillor I am working to achieve fair water and sewer rates and to ensure that taxpayers get fair treatment. The current direction regarding water supply is unsustainable and I am doing all I can to get the most cost effective water supply possible.
