Greater Vernon politicians signed an "Historic Document" a Memorandum of Understanding that changes the way Greater Vernon Parks are managed and operated. Basically, there will be parks designated as sub-regional parks under the jurisdiction of the Regional District and local parks will be managed by the jurisdictions in which the parks are located.
The MOU will now be debated and, hopefully, ratified by the participating Councils before it will becomes a new bylaw.
