Scotch Thistle Harvest at Kal Park this Friday - Please spread the word!

Please join Park Rangers and other volunteers from the Friends of Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park for a Scotch Thistle harvest!

This Friday, August 26, at 9:00 a.m., we will meet at the Red Gate for an hour or two of work. We will cut off the seed heads of as many thistles as we can during that time. The plants only grow for two seasons so if we can eliminate the seed heads (before they go to seed) on the plants for a few seasons we might be able to reverse the infestation.

Wear long pants, thick gloves and bring hand clippers.

About Me

My photo
I have been a resident of Coldstream since 1976. I have had 15 years of experience on Council, 3 years as Mayor. As a current Councillor I am working to achieve fair water and sewer rates and to ensure that taxpayers get fair treatment. The current direction regarding water supply is unsustainable and I am doing all I can to get the most cost effective water supply possible.
