The news of Jack Layton's death on Monday morning brought into sharp focus his extraordinary accomplishments during a life time of public service. NDP members and supporters knew how important he was to Canada, and now others are discovering it—perhaps for the first time.
Those who wish to pay tribute to Jack Layton's life can gather at Vernon's Schubert Centre at 3505 30th Avenue between 10.30am and 3pm Saturday August 27. There will be a book of condolences, and cards and letters will be forwarded to the Layton family.
Refreshments will be provided.
