Agricultural water price increase -- 2.5%.

Regional District Directors voted on the water rate bylaws this evening and decided to reduce the proposed 9% rate increase to a more reasonable 2.5%. Domestic rates were set at $50.17 per quarter with up to 20 cubic meters of consumption included. Consumption rate above 20 cu. m. will be $0.92 per cu. m. During July, August and September a surcharge of $0.18 per cu. m. will be imposed over the 20 cu. m. base rate.

About Me

My photo
I have been a resident of Coldstream since 1976. I have had 15 years of experience on Council, 3 years as Mayor. As a current Councillor I am working to achieve fair water and sewer rates and to ensure that taxpayers get fair treatment. The current direction regarding water supply is unsustainable and I am doing all I can to get the most cost effective water supply possible.
