Attention: open in a new window.BC's election campaign is officially expected to start next week, but it appears to be already going around Vernon. Two local candidates are bringing in high profile support the next few days. BC Conservative leader John Cummins will be helping local candidate Scott Anderson open his campaign office at 3401 31st Avenue this morning, followed by a town hall from 10:30 to noon at the office. Cummins will also visit Lumby this afternoon, visiting businesses and at a meet and greet  at the White valley Community Centre from 3 to 4pm.

Meantime, Liberal candidate Eric Foster will join former federal Conservative cabinet minister Stockwell Day at Vernon's Schubert Centre Tuesday afternoon at 4:30. Day will be encouraging people to support the BC Liberals who he says are the only party with a responsible fiscal plan.

NDP candidate Mark Olsen will take part in a 'Walk About in Vernon' with John Horgan, NDP House Leader and Brad Foster of the Sierra Club at 3011 31st Avenue from 1:30 - 2:30 pm today. Elizabeth May, the national Green Party leader, will speak at the Schubert Centre tonight in an event with CBC personality Arthur Black.

About Me

My photo
I have been a resident of Coldstream since 1976. I have had 15 years of experience on Council, 3 years as Mayor. As a current Councillor I am working to achieve fair water and sewer rates and to ensure that taxpayers get fair treatment. The current direction regarding water supply is unsustainable and I am doing all I can to get the most cost effective water supply possible.
