Sparkle News and request for volunteers.

The Society for the Protection of Kalamalka Lake invites you to please join us for
SPrKL’s Adopt - a - Stream Project :
Annual Fall Weed Pull and Clean – Up!
 
When: Wednesday October 3, 2012 any time between 1 and 4 pm
 
Where: Creekside Park (aka the Dog Park) on Kal Lake Rd. between Kidston Rd. and Quirk Dr.
 
Wear: weather - appropriate clothing and footwear, and work/garden gloves.
(Note, we will not be going into the creek.)
 
Bring:  pruners, rakes, trowels, and/or shovels, if you have them – if not there will be extras there.
 
SPrKL will provide drinks and snacks...
Hope to see you there!
PS:
Even if you are not up to weed pulling or pruning, please feel free to just wander over to the site, have a drink and a snack – no obligation - see what we have done/are doing and cheer us on!
We welcome the moral support!

I have been a resident of Coldstream since 1976. I have had 15 years of experience on Council, 3 years as Mayor. As a current Councillor I am working to achieve fair water and sewer rates and to ensure that taxpayers get fair treatment. The current direction regarding water supply is unsustainable and I am doing all I can to get the most cost effective water supply possible.
