Readers write - Boats do pollute lakes!

Well, there are those that say boat has no negative effect on our drinking water and those that disagree.

You choose your side.

Attached are photos of the boat which was on fire in Kal Lake a few minutes ago.

Shame on you to use this unfortunate rare incident of a boat burning to further your campaign to prove that boats are a major polluter of the lake. People were injured. I think people can make up their own opinions based on the latest studies that have been done that boats are towards the very bottom of the list of things that are polluting this lake. We don't need people sensationalizing a very unfortunate and rare accident to further their cause. My thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by this accident.

About Me

My photo
I have been a resident of Coldstream since 1976. I have had 15 years of experience on Council, 3 years as Mayor. As a current Councillor I am working to achieve fair water and sewer rates and to ensure that taxpayers get fair treatment. The current direction regarding water supply is unsustainable and I am doing all I can to get the most cost effective water supply possible.
