-----------------------------------------------------------------

A presentation by BC Parks might be of interest to many dealing with the upgrade of the Kekuli Bay Boat Launch.

That is great an expanded launch at Kekuli would hopefully take some of the load off of the Kalavista Launch.

Perhaps Kekuli would be better suited for tourist and users of the park and some Greater Vernon residents who live out that way.

As for myself I will continue to use the Kalavista Launch as it is way more conveniant and way less dangerous than turning off of a very dangerous highway with inadequate turning and merging lanes for vehicles with trailers.

Not to mention the extra cost to myself and the enviroment of having to drive further to access the lake.

One of the reasons I purchased where I did was because of the close location of the Kalavista Launch.

Perhaps it would be better off as a regional resident launch only.

I assume the extra cost of 2-3 liters of gasoline and the $3.00 parking fee is quite substantial to someone with a big boat.

"...extra cost to myself and the enviroment..."

Considering the environmental impact of a day's boating on the lake we could consider the 20 km drive to Kekuli Bay negligible.
