In response to Rob Mckay's editorial article I must state that he and others that live around or close to the lake do not own the lake or the adjacent parks. He states that people are "invading" their space. This Kalavista area is a part of the community and although he owns a piece of it he and others should not lay claim to this area.It is a vital part of the whole north okanagan and belongs to everyone.I have heard Coldstream councillors and members of the Kalavista Committee state that Coldstream does not benefit by tourism. This whole region and all of the businesses in the area benefit greatly by tourism and if people are to ignorant to see that they should definately not be running any part of our local governments. Where do they think that all the taxpayers in Coldstream work? They work in businesses in the North Okanagan!

About Me

My photo
I have been a resident of Coldstream since 1976. I have had 15 years of experience on Council, 3 years as Mayor. As a current Councillor I am working to achieve fair water and sewer rates and to ensure that taxpayers get fair treatment. The current direction regarding water supply is unsustainable and I am doing all I can to get the most cost effective water supply possible.
