A camp that has opened its doors to generations of children continues to
seek community support. Camp Hurlburt in Vernon finished 15th in round
one of
the Aviva Community Fund initiative, and the camp is now trying again in
round two to finish in the top 10 ideas before Nov. 9. The goal is to
raise $149,000 to redevelop the waterfront property. “We hope that all
of you who have been voting, will
continue to vote in round two,” said Jennifer Yeo, with the Camp
Hurlburt Association. “Those of you who have not yet registered as a
voter,
please go to www.avivacommunityfund.org to register. You get 15 votes,
one vote per day. Please vote every day. Rebuild Camp Hurlburt is idea
