Further to water supply review. Are we really short of water in Greater Vernon?

In my earlier post I questioned the notion that we were short of water, based on empirical evidence derived mostly from reports provided by consultants and staff. Since then further information was provided by staff with the August 15 Duteau reservoir chart. As can be seen the water level is back in the normal range. Of course, the Kalamalka Lake supply was never in question by staff as it was adequate all alone. In fact, GVWU is using more water from Kal Lake than usual due to availability. The Chart below is the newest release by GVWU. Water level now indicates normal range. One should never ignore empirical evidence!

About Me

My photo
I have been a resident of Coldstream since 1976. I have had 15 years of experience on Council, 3 years as Mayor. As a current Councillor I am working to achieve fair water and sewer rates and to ensure that taxpayers get fair treatment. The current direction regarding water supply is unsustainable and I am doing all I can to get the most cost effective water supply possible.
