Media Release - RDNO -Stage 1 Water Restrictions

Perhaps it is worth remembering that only about 20% of our domestic water comes from the Duteau system while 80% is from Kalamalka Lake. There is no indication that there is a water shortage on Kalamalka Lake.

The suggested 10% reduction will definitely impact our revenue stream. It would be important to know how we are going to treat the revenue shortfall (however much it will be). This information is not provided with the Media Release.

About Me

My photo
I have been a resident of Coldstream since 1976. I have had 15 years of experience on Council, 3 years as Mayor. As a current Councillor I am working to achieve fair water and sewer rates and to ensure that taxpayers get fair treatment. The current direction regarding water supply is unsustainable and I am doing all I can to get the most cost effective water supply possible.
