  1. Hopefully this presentation won't be done by anyone from Sparkle including Mrs. Besso. The last presentation they did featured performance boats (cigar boats) heading right at each other at full speed. I have only seen one or two small performance boats on Kal Lake in the last 5 years. I don't mind genuine concerns and there are some with boating but please leave out the sensationalism! As a boater I have no problem with the north end of Kal Lake being a slow speed no wake zone. The threat of boats causing any problems with boating near the water intake has been blown way out of proportion. These boats are not dumping huge amounts of water and oil into the lake and if any small amount did get into the water it would float and evaporate long before it made it to the water intake. Many of the worlds water reservoirs are also popular recreational lakes and there are no problems. We just seem to have an alarmist group of anti-boaters whose true aganda is to have the lake all to themselves!

  2. You have a one-track mind. The presentation will be on water prices and how to lower them. Boats are your fixation, mine are water costs.

  3. If boating was not always being brought up I wouldn't feel the need to comment as often. This council has a strong anti-boating stance and has stated they would like to see all power boats removed from Kalamalka Lake. I am sorry if the constant onslought on your blogsite has made me a little paranoid and worried about our right to access and enjoy Kal Lake. Stop the onslaught and I'll stop responding. Perhaps I jumped the gun on this presentation but Mrs. Besso continues to show her timelapsed video of the boat launch on a busy long weekend (sped up to look worse) at every opportunity and I am sure it will come up in this presentation as well!
