Recommendation

(1) Kalavista Neighbourhood – Issues of Concern
· Report from the Chief Administrative Officer, dated November 6, 2008
Recommendation
THAT the report from the Chief Administrative Officer, dated November 6, 2008, regarding Kalavista Neighbourhood – Issues of Concern, be received;
AND THAT following the 2008 Election, that the new Council establish an ad hoc Committee, consisting of two representatives from the Kalavista Area, two residents from outside of the Kalavista Area, a representative from Greater Vernon Parks, and one or two council representatives, to work through all of the issues and concerns of this neighbourhood, and to include in those discussions the recommendations from the Traffic Safety Committee.

· Letter from RCMP Vernon Detachment, dated October 20, 2008Inspector Steve McVarnock will be in attendance to speak to this matter.

· Report from the Director of Financial Administration, dated November 4, 2008
Recommendation
THAT the report from the Director of Financial Administration, dated November 4, 2008, regarding District of Coldstream 2009 Proposed budget, be received;
AND THAT an Open House be held on the proposed 2009 Budget for public input on Wednesday, November 19, 2008, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
