Selected Morning Star Newsclips - In case you missed them.
“If the person you're talking with continues to press you for more or can't seem to accept your answer, then you are being harassed. I know that sounds hard for people-pleasers to accept, but it's true. No means no.” ― Suzette Hinton
The speed bumps are a good idea, they don't have to be large, the ones near the Kelowna hospital near the waterfront allow people to drive at a steady slow speed.
I am also concerned about the traffic on Kalamalka Lake road, a friend lives near the high-school and says it is not uncommon for people to pass their home going 70 k; a three way stop might be the answer there. It would also address the back-upped traffic at peak times.
A small traffic circle should be built at the intersection at Kal Lake Rd and Aberdeen, it is going to be our town centre and we already have many children attending Coldstream Elementary, the Montessori School and little playground next to the Hall.
Let's make our community where we live and play the best it can be. Neighbours have been talking about these issues, because it affects our enjoyment and safety when we are out walking, cycling or riding horses. All of us agree something needs to be done.
Ms. Bond,
ReplyDeleteRespectfully, but firmly:
