Readers write - Questions from Debbie,

This posting is a eulogy to the Coldstream pond adjacent to Coldstream Lumber on what was the old sawmill property.  This pond has been here as long as I have  [40 years] and is a breeding site and nursery for many bird species.  It is also a resting area for hundreds of ducks in the fall.  These photos are a sample of what the site looks like now and what we have lost.  The question is did the property owners obtain a permit to do this and from whom because they didn't get one from the District of Coldstream and there definitely wasn't any public input.  View these and weep.

About Me

My photo
I have been a resident of Coldstream since 1976. I have had 15 years of experience on Council, 3 years as Mayor. As a current Councillor I am working to achieve fair water and sewer rates and to ensure that taxpayers get fair treatment. The current direction regarding water supply is unsustainable and I am doing all I can to get the most cost effective water supply possible.
