That will make a great piece of parkland! The price seems a little high though considering it sold for the same price ($875,000) in 2007 when prices were much higher. I was told by someone that the actual tax appraisal for that property is $586,000. I am not sure if that is correct but perhaps you can enlighten us on how the current price was negotiated or not negotiated by GVRD.

ReplyDeleteI agree, nice piece of park if set up for residents to use for picnics, wildlife viewing, etc but NOT boats, canoes or kayaks. Also accessible to handicapped/seniors with at least some nearby parking stalls.
ReplyDeleteHaving said this I feel the price paid was way out of line and the owners are no doubt laughing all the way to the bank. No basements, rising damp, aging logs, traffic, etc. I may be wrong but do not believe it was a full time residence anyway. Hope we do not end up paying for anymore Kalvista owners' retirement.
